ABOUT US

Travis Smith

My first waterfowl hunt at the age of 6 was with my father (Russ) & the Command Master Chief (Bulldog) from Fallon, NV. Bulldog put me on his shoulders with a decoy pack on his back and out in the pond we went. My dad handed me his shotgun and said “Just Shoot It”… From that minute forward, waterfowl hunting has been second to only my family. I’m thankful for the support of my wife and 2 children, who understand my undying passion for the sport and my passion to give back to the brave Combat Veterans of the United States Armed Forces.

In my 25 years of waterfowl hunting, I have been fortunate in the opportunities that have been presented to me. I’ve developed lifelong friendships and memories that cannot be replaced.

Russ Smith

Hello all, I am Russ. I have been hunting waterfowl for over 40 years now. 30 years of it I have been married to my beautiful bride Darla. I would like to "Thank" her for putting up with my waterfowl passion for all these years.

To me waterfowl hunting is relaxing. Its time to forget about the worlds problems. It does not matter if it 60 degrees or 20 below, all the same to me. I have had 3 water dogs in this time, Chessie 13 years(Chesapeake), Tugg 12 years (black lab) and my buddy "Roc" (yellow lab). Roc is currently getting his tune up at "Rocking M Kennels" and will be competing in AKC senior hunt tests soon.

We are a military family as well. I am Navy retired service connected disabled. Travis is in the Coast Guard, Trevor is in the Navy, Taren is finding his way.

If you find that you cannot go waterfowl hunting because of limitations give us a call. I bet if there is a will there is a way to get you out there. Our payment is the smiles, laughter and new friends we are about to meet.

Waterfowl hunting has been a passion of mine since the time of my first hunt with my father and grandfather on a Minnesota marsh as a young boy.  I can still remember my first hunt like it happened yesterday.  I have been blessed with many years of duck and goose hunting in the US and Canada.  I have managed a duck club for over 15 years with an emphasis on access for all. One of my greatest inspirations was being able to take my 83 year old grandmother and daughter hunting on a duck hunt years ago.  We continue to get young, old and those with mobility issues on both duck and goose hunts and are always striving to do more.
